Starri Valdimarsson is a mixing engineer based in Los Angeles, California

Originally from Iceland, Starri made a name for himself by collaborating with top artists in his homeland. Known for his unique approach to production, engineering, and mixing he quickly became a standout figure in the Icelandic music industry.

In 2021, Starri enrolled at the prestigious Blackbird Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Under the guidance of Mark Rubel, this pivotal decision marked a significant chapter in Starri’s career, providing him with invaluable knowledge and exposure to diverse musical genres.

Graduating Valedictorian from the Blackbird Academy this led to an opportunity to work with Grammy-winning producer Val Garay (Kim Carnes, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor) as an assistant engineer.
